Screwthebookstore.com is not a local bookstore, and it is not an online bookstore that warehouses and ships books. Screwthebookstore.com is an online marketplace where students can buy and sell their used college textbooks directly with other students.

The website was launched in November, 2002 and thanks to a catchy name and relentless advertising it has become the fastest growing student-to-student textbook exchange in the nation. Our mission is to give students a real alternative to getting ripped off by their local bookstores, and we are succeeding. We estimate that in our first 7 months of business we saved students nearly $250,000 and the amount of student savings has been growing exponentially ever since. Our success thus far has proven there is a genuine need for this service; help us bring it to your area.

We have two Affiliate programs to choose from:

Exclusive Territory Affiliate
The exclusive territory affiliate program will allow you to purchase exclusive marketing rights for your territory. It will be like owning your own online book exchange franchise that is dedicated to your region. Under this arrangement, you would pay us an upfront fee (the amount depends on the size of the school(s)) and in return you would get to keep a significant percentage of the book exchange revenue generated from your territory.

Currently, we are keeping the book exchange at all of our territories free while we build up the largest student user base on the web. We are in the process of finishing a brand new site which has taken over 2500 web development hours to complete and it will be a huge overall improvement over our current book exchange. All of our affiliates will get to use the new site which is expected to launch in November.

Campus Rep.
The way the rep program works is we add your school(s) to our drop down menu and when you get your first 1000 book postings we pay you $300. From that point on, we pay you a salary of $100 per month or you can choose to continue receiving pay based on achieving milestones. Getting the first 1000 book postings does take a lot of effort, however for the three schools we have personally marketed our book exchange to (Cal Poly, UCSB, and UC Davis) we reached well over 1000 postings in our first two months of advertising at each school. We will provide you with marketing material as well as other marketing support.
